As usual with Blu-ray Monday, you have two chances to win. For your first entry, simply retweet the following post on Twitter: Tweet this
Then for a second entry, leave a comment on this post answering the following question:
Set in the Alpha Centauri star system, on a lush moon called Pandora, Avatar follows the story of a tribe of Na’vi -10-foot-tall, blue-skinned, sapient humanoids. Whether it’s an animal, insect, robot, alien, ghost, mythical creature or animated character, some of the best films have brought to life many amazing, non-human characters over the years but who or what is your favourite non-human character of all time and why?
To make it easier for us to contact you, leave your Twitter details with your comment. We look forward to your suggestions!

At the moment, my favourite non human character has to be Toothless the Dragon from “How to train your dragon”
I love that film so much, it’s so adorable!
It would have to be the Predator, the reason for this it’s one he’ll of a bad ass and you fight it at your own peril.
@kingarthursmen
My favorite non-human character is Mickey Mouse!
@kjmaje
My favorite non-human character would have to be yoda because not only is the little green dude cool, but his speech is amazingly backwards, and dont forget his ability to kick your butt.
My favorite non-human character is Yoda from Star Wars. He is cute, so full of wisdom and I love the way he speaks!
glad I didn’t buy this the 1st time it hit blu ray
Mine is Jessica Rabbit because she’s shmokin’!!!

Haven’t seen Avatar so I’ve got everything crossed!
ET is my favourite…I sobbed when he nearly died 😦 To this day, I wish I’d find my own extra-terrestrial in my garden shed! @wendymcd83
Frank (the Rabbit) in Donnie Darko – brilliant depiction of Donnie’s alter-ego (and how great to be able to blame it all on a giant fictional rabbit)!
@msmollylouise
My favorite non-human character is Yoda from the Star Wars movies. He’s short (like me) but is a master Jedi and is full of wisdom. Plus the way he speaks just makes him even cooler.
My favourite is Wall-E. I can empathise with a rusty robot that’s seen better days…
@porter_n
Superman – he’s my favorite superhero and my favorite alien ever since I was a kid (15 years ago). I always admired his power and his will to help the humanity.

Chewbacca from Star Wars.
Chewbacca specifically has the roar of the coolest Wookiee of all 🙂

I think Doctor Who is the best as he has brought pleasure to
thousands of people – kids and adults.
My fav of all time has to be the Ewoks! Was awesome watching them work together on the forest moon of Endor against the Empire!
Donkey in the Shrek series. So darn cute!
ET!!! Greatest movie of all time.
@choonkitng
My favourite non-human character of all time is the one and only Jedi Master Yoda.
That would be Muppet Yoda by the way. CGI Yoda is not my favourite representation of the little dude.

@zoenmya on twitter
Yoda, because he’s funny and I love the way he talks!
@lazydaze2
Disney have got to be the best at creating non-human characters! I think Wall.E is up there as a cute, loveable character with a nice environmental message all wrapped up into one! 🙂
forgot my twitter name – @emilyh13
The ball of fluff with teeth from The Dark Crystal – I always wanted one as a pet. Fizzgig, that was it – sort of like a vicious tribble.
Johnny 5. Give me a reason why he’s NOT the dude?
He’s robotic, and he wants to be A-live.
And he’s a damn fine dancer.
I imagine the Narn ambassador G’kar, from Babylon 5 is my favorite non-human alien. Or is he human? All of his foibles are ours, his pettiness, his temper, his short-sightedness. But also his desire for something better, his near-infinite hope that he and his race can rise above their current position, these are also a bold reflection of our humanity.

I like ET!! He’s so cute!!

I like ET!!! He’s so cute!!
My favorite non-human character of all-time is Data from Star Trek. He was so borderline human but maintained some of his android characteristics. His use as a reflective tool on human traits was so interesting.
I think my favorite non-human character of all time has to be Yoda from Star Wars. Why? Because he was a little green guy…full of useful knowledge, and the way he spoke was just great!
For the contest, thank you. @PriusGuy2004, my Twitter name is.
Godzilla. Introduced as a monster, he’s run the range from hero to villain… aggressive to peaceful… he’s even died and resurrected. Filling every role from John Wayne to Jesus, this is one versatile lizard.
E.T. he was the most ugly/adorable lil creature of all time for me 🙂
I love Chewbacca from Star Wars. You gotta love that harry beast.

One of the best films made!! And with extra footage that me and the girls would love to see! Brilliant!
Thanks for another fab giveaway, please enter me
into another of your comps.
@Mazzz39 on twitter twoooo!!
One of my favorites is Carol from Where The Wild Things Are. Probably because of the emotion the character showed, not just through James Gandolfini’s voice but through the puppetry of his body.
My favourite would have to be Dory from Finding Nemo. For me, she’s the best thing about the film and is so funny. “Are… are you my conscience?”
@nomibcf
Planet of the Apes, so many good memories with some of hollywood best actors Charlton Heston, James Withmore… After so many years i will watch it over and over again
The Aliens in district 9……
One to have in movie collection. Awesome movie.
Could be anything other than Johnny 5 from Short Circuit? Johnny 5 is alive!
My favourite non-human character of all time is E.T. It is a classic! Peaceful, likeable, cute alien won’t attack us but need human’s help to go home.
It may gives us a false security, but E.T. & Drew Barrymore just burned that in my head.
My fav. non-human character would have to be R2-D2. Nothing phases that plucky little guy!
twitter: MrDisco3
My favorite non-human character of all time is definitely R2-D2. If it wasn’t for him, the good guys would have been defeated many times over! He is the true hero of the Star Wars saga!
This was such an amazing experience to watch
I would love to win this!
Wall-E is my favourite non-human character because he is so innocent and naive in his actions. I could just see myself in his shoes (tracks) at many points in the film and feeling lost and confused, so I could totally relate.
Chewbacca from Star Wars.
Surely the greatest non human character of all time mainly for his ludicrous voice, which can be used by humans in times of desperation (example – man stubs toe; man: *chewie voice* “gwwwwrrrrrrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrggghh”).
He also has some pretty good hair going on and has a cross-bow…what weapon is cooler than a crossbow? exactly.
case closed. game over. chewie wins.
I watched Bolt the other day it was fab, this is exactly how I want my puppy to grow up like…..super-bark and everything!

I would have to go with Scooby Doo. Loved watching the show as a child, and still enjoy watching them now with my son. @goalmom5
King Kong.The film was great but so sad!

Hurley the guinea pig from G-Force – he reminds me so much of my own fat Pepper Pig – silly and lazy and a little bit dim!
R2-D2 hands down, little robot with big attitude… plus he has a cool colour scheme 🙂

I forgot to add that my twitter ID is miriama59. Sorry about that.
My fav has got to be the Aliens. Because they just seem like the ultimate nightmare. They blend into the shadows and wouldn’t give two thoughts to ripping your head off!
Twitter: @LeeVEGETA
If I have to say ONE it is Bilbo Baggins. Bilbo first entranced me when reading The Hobbit. Then I read more Tolkien and became fascinated with a genre of books I had never read before.
But all the hobbits and characters from the series are my favorites of all time.
That’s a hard one, but I’ll go with the Aliens from the Alien movies. The original trilogy honestly scared the hell of me back in the day when I was a kid.
Twitter name: Snowx2k5
It has to be the awesome Toothless in How To Train Your Dragon.
I would say that was one of my favourite films of this year and the fact that Toothless didn’t talk, was incredibly cute and funny (and looked a bit like my kitten) just made it a fabulous film to watch.

Frank (the Rabbit) in Donnie Darko – brilliant depiction of Donnie’s alter-ego (and how great to be able to blame it all on a giant fictional rabbit)!
I love Gizmo from the Gremlin films as he was very cute, but also very mischievious!
Shrek! He’s so sweet and gruff at the same time!
