[tweetmeme source= “blurayreporter” only_single=false]

To celebrate Halloween, we’re giving away the contemporary reimagining of the seminal horror classic ‘A Nightmare on Elm Street’ for this week’s Blu-ray Monday competition.

With his tattered, rusty glove of knives, psychotic slasher Freddy Krueger is back and he’s more disturbing than ever. Brilliantly depicted by Oscar nominee Jackie Earle Haley, he is the complete embodiment of evil. And it’s terrifying.

When presented in the pristine, high-definition picture and sound you expect from Blu-ray (all the better to hear and see Freddy with!) this prize is so scary it will make you do exactly what it says on the box – never sleep again!

As usual with Blu-ray Monday, you have two chances to win. For your first entry, simply retweet the following post on Twitter: Tweet this

Then for a second entry, leave a comment on this post answering the following question:

Exploiting primal fears and subconscious anxieties, A Nightmare on Elm Street is renowned as one of the all time great scary movies and Freddy as one of horror’s greatest creations. What horror films, scary scenes or chilling characters have kept you awake at night and why?

To make it easier for us to contact you, leave your Twitter details with your comment.  We look forward to your suggestions!

We’ll be posting news as it happens from the show floor when it opens, but in the meantime here are a few photos which will give you an idea  of what to expect…

Then once you’ve done that, for a second entry all you have to do is leave a comment on this post answering the following question:

Blu-ray Monday Edge of Darkness Giveaway

[tweetmeme source= “blurayreporter” only_single=false]

This week we’re celebrating Mel Gibson’s return to action in thriller The Edge of Darkness by giving away a brand new copy on Blu-ray Disc. As always, you have two chances to win.  For your first entry, simply retweet the following post on Twitter: Tweet this

Then once you’ve done that, for a second entry all you have to do is leave a comment on this post answering the following question:

Mel Gibson and Danny Glover’s Lethal Weapon series defined the buddy cop movie genre in the late ‘80s. Busting through doors and locking up bad guys, they took inspiration from and influenced movies such as Starsky & Hutch, Rush Hour, Turner & Hooch, 48 Hours, Bad Boys and many more.  So here’s the question, if you were in charge of a new blockbuster entry into the genre, who would you choose as your two lead actors and why?

We know this could be tricky but have fun with it and choose whoever you think would make the most entertaining dynamic crime fighting cop duo. We look forward to your suggestions!
