  26. 27 Balflearspgc June 4, 2010 at 11:25 am

  30. 31 Amy Willingham June 3, 2010 at 9:58 pm

I adore classic films and would love to see Lawrence of Arabia redone and brought into our digital era. BUT I just have to say that the only reason why I would love to see this redone is to have better quality of action and graphics even though for the time this movie was SOOOOO far ahead. Don’t get me wrong its a beautiful movie that I can watch a mili times and never get sick of… oh the chariot races….

  31. 32 Jeana June 3, 2010 at 9:46 pm

Anyone that said they want sleeping beauty to be don it is in pre production Tim buttons is making the film but it is based on the wicked queen instead its called Maleficent (2013) so this should be good The “Sleeping Beauty” tale is told from the perspective of the princess’ evil nemesis, Maleficent.

  39. 40 EMMA WALTERS June 2, 2010 at 9:01 pm

    king kong or jaws

I’d love to see Burton do Wizard of Oz! Thank you!

  42. 43 Braden June 2, 2010 at 6:55 pm

Stephen King’s The Stand. It didn’t come out that long ago – but I think it could be soooo much better.

The Back to the Future trilogy could use a new addition as well. Marty’s kids or something.

  43. 44 juliette morrison June 2, 2010 at 5:23 pm

I would love to see The Wizard Of OZ remade in a similar vane to Alice in wonderland – there are so many characters with strong personalities that would benefit from an updated visit.

  44. 45 Roshni June 2, 2010 at 4:40 pm

I would love to see a remake of ‘Some Like it Hot’ though who would play Marilyn Monroe’s character is beyond me!

  45. 46 Sandy June 2, 2010 at 3:34 pm

I’d love to see a remake of ‘Bedknobs and Broomsticks’ on Blu Ray, great movie but looks dated and tired now. WOW.. just think of the scope for fabulous 3d images in that movie!

    retweeted @SooperSandy

    Thanks.

  46. 47 Kevin E June 2, 2010 at 3:23 pm

I agree 100% that Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and/or Mary Poppins would be a great remake.

  47. 48 sassyele June 2, 2010 at 3:21 pm

I’d give my right arm to see a remake of Bedknobs and Broomsticks – one of my all time faves, but certainly in need of a touch up! x

  48. 49 Diane June 2, 2010 at 3:18 pm

    I still haven’t see this!!! @saraminda

  49. 50 Jack June 2, 2010 at 3:17 pm

I’d love to see a Wizard of Oz remake. With the technolgy available today, I think it could turn into a visual master-piece with the right director behind it.

  50. 51 alison June 2, 2010 at 3:15 pm

What about redoing some of the early Shirley Temple movies?

  51. 52 BasHeeremans June 2, 2010 at 3:12 pm

In my opinion they should make remakes of the old western movies with Clint Eastwood. With the quality of Bluray it can become very nice visual movies.

  52. 53 Julie Henderson June 2, 2010 at 3:11 pm

Think JAWS is in need of a serious revamp

  53. 54 Lauren Peterson June 2, 2010 at 3:09 pm

Ooh, I’d be all about the Wizard of Oz getting remade…That would be awesome!

  54. 55 charliepegg June 2, 2010 at 3:09 pm

i missed this at the cinema – really looking forward to seeing it on blu ray

  55. 56 Summer June 2, 2010 at 1:02 pm

I have to agree that Mary Poppins would be a good one to remake. Thanks for giveaway!

  56. 57 Eric June 2, 2010 at 11:50 am

Watched Alice last night. Looks great on Bluray. I was thinking about buying it, but I guess I will wait to see if I win first.

  57. 58 Cathy W. June 2, 2010 at 11:04 am

I’d like to see a remake of Cinderella.

  58. 59 Melissa Lawrence June 2, 2010 at 2:59 am

Can you imagine Marry Poppins in BluRay or Chitty Chitty Bang Bang? LOL! Tweeting @2boysblue

  59. 60 Lisa Stewart June 2, 2010 at 12:55 am

Hmm there are lots but I have to go for Pocahontas….oh wait, James Cameron already did that. Silly me.

OK, so how about Mary Poppins? 3D would make the animated parts absolutely fabulous and I would trust Tim Burton to maintain the Disney magic like he did with the fabulous Alice in Wonderland.

  60. 61 Jennifer Kelly June 2, 2010 at 12:47 am

100% Flight of the Navigator!!!! The thing is, all the original films have a certain charm about them, the less effects the better they have been, I think remaking them would turn out to be, well, a disaster!!
    @sweetiepie82

  61. 62 Ehren Lentsch June 1, 2010 at 8:56 pm

Most definitely Never Ending Story. An amazing movie… but it is kind of crippled and held back by the lacking technology of its time. It could greatly use a facelife 🙂

  62. 63 Cheryl W. June 1, 2010 at 8:22 pm

I retweeted and here are some of my ideas:

Hansel and Gretel (could you imagine who would play the wicked old witch?)

I would love a Tim Burton-esque Wizard of OZ!

    Little Red Riding hood.

  63. 64 Birdie S. June 1, 2010 at 7:57 pm

How bout The King and I for an update remake

  64. 65 Kathleen June 1, 2010 at 7:45 pm

I would love to see a creative remake of “The Wizard of Oz.”
    @Sparklezstars

  65. 66 Kimberly Flickinger June 1, 2010 at 7:41 pm

Mary Poppins or Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs are great movies for a makeover.

    Following @kaflickinger74

  66. 67 Sheryl June 1, 2010 at 5:42 pm

I vote for Song of the South, too! I always liked it and thought it has been overlooked!

  67. 68 Raul - Vengeful_ June 1, 2010 at 5:41 pm

I too am going with Never Ending Story, with today’s technology it could be a spectacular movie visually.

  68. 69 Katie Bennett June 1, 2010 at 5:28 pm

OHHH tricky i would love to have this on bluray i live right by the place some of it was film i was not lucky enough to be picked as a extra they were very strict on what they needed

Now as a book to film adaptation something like peter Pan would be good if Tim Burton directed that one

Or the The BFG or Jack and the Beanstalk now with a modern twist would be cool …..

  69. 70 Debra Pearlstein June 1, 2010 at 5:22 pm

I really love the musicals Carousel and Guys and Dolls – would love to see the reimagined

We would love to see Alice in Wonderland – have not had the chance! Thanks for the wonderful giveaway.

    @MissingLynxx – tweeted 🙂

  71. 72 Tom Wilson June 1, 2010 at 5:15 pm

How about a remake of the 1927 classic METROPOLIS?? With the technology available today modern day film makers could have a field day with this one.

  72. 73 Coistycat June 1, 2010 at 5:13 pm

I would love to see Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs redone in 3D, i have always loved this film & to see it come even more to life would just be amazing xx

  73. 74 Tracy P June 1, 2010 at 5:12 pm

I would love to see one of my favorite movies as a kid Flight of the Navigator reinvented with CGI.
    @cloud10277

  74. 75 alison June 1, 2010 at 5:12 pm

The original Neverending Story was a favorite of mine. However, it is in need of a remake!

  75. 76 Sara (@Doodle741) June 1, 2010 at 5:11 pm

Would love to win it!! Thanks for the chance!!

    @Doodle741

  76. 77 Shannon Schulte June 1, 2010 at 5:10 pm

Bedknobs and Broomsticks, a classic @sethandshannon1

  77. 78 Sue Harrison June 1, 2010 at 4:47 pm

Beauty and The Beast would be ideal for a Tim Burton makeover

  78. 79 coffeewithkate June 1, 2010 at 4:00 pm

I wass going to suggest Gullivers Travels but it seems there’s a new film version with Jack Black out.
So I suggest Hans Christian Anderson (remember the Danny Kaye version…no? Ah….I’m showing my age now aren’t I). I love how they weave all his stories into one film.
One thing though, fairytales were supposed to be a bit ‘darker’ than the fluffy versions we get nowadays. Get Tim Burton to weave his weird and wonderful magic on this film and the kids (and parents) will love it.

  79. 80 ming June 1, 2010 at 3:44 pm

I haven’t seen this remake yet. Sure would love to see it on Blu-ray
    @conqui25

    • 81 ming June 2, 2010 at 3:51 pm

It’s a Wonderful Life needs to be remade. I’m starting to get tired seeing the classic version everytime x-mas comes around

  80. 82 Elaine Livingstone June 1, 2010 at 3:28 pm

think Song of the South would be a good remake, it was already very clever half live and half animated anyway, but updated would be great

  81. 83 Natalie June 1, 2010 at 3:21 pm

What about ET? If it was 3D as well it could be amaaazing!

  82. 84 Katy June 1, 2010 at 3:03 pm

I tweeted @kitkat234 & I would say that All about eve would be a good movie to redo!

  83. 85 mel butcher June 1, 2010 at 3:02 pm

mary poppins could be good, especially if given a modern twist, such as mum struggling with a work/home life balance in place of the votes for women work from the original

  84. 86 Emma June 1, 2010 at 2:49 pm

I would love to see The Waterbabies re-imagined ! I think a modern remake of this lovely story would be fab! I remember being a little disapointed when I watched the film version when I was a child!

  85. 87 Lisa Hughes June 1, 2010 at 2:30 pm

The Rise and Fall of Legs Diamond would make an excellent remake, such a fantastic story that could be remade into a brilliant current film.
    (@thequeenosheba on Twitter)

  86. 88 Emily June 1, 2010 at 2:27 pm

Ooh am I the first? Thanks for the giveaway 🙂

  87. 89 Lisa June 1, 2010 at 2:26 pm

I’d love to see the Wizard of Oz updated. Would look stunning in 3D I think.

  88. 90 destiny June 1, 2010 at 2:26 pm

sleeping beauty has always been one of my favorites I would love to see it re-done.

  89. 91 Danielle P June 1, 2010 at 2:25 pm

I think a film that needs to be redone is probably “Fantasia” its too old for younger audiences today.. New music and sights might make it more exciting.

  90. 92 Lucy June 1, 2010 at 2:24 pm

I know there are lots of films that could be remade and made more up to date but theres a certain charm in the old films. For example, watched Mary Poppins the other day and the special effects, although not of the quality of most current films, lent to the atmosphere of the whole film.

  91. 93 sherie buck June 1, 2010 at 2:20 pm

Oh I can`t wait to see this film, heard lots about it x

  92. 94 Maura June 1, 2010 at 2:10 pm

The Never Ending Story was always one of my faves as a kid. With today’s CGI technology, I’d really like to see how that movie could be “re-invented”!

  93. 95 Katie mackenzie June 1, 2010 at 2:09 pm

Alice in wonderland one of the best films to wach,I would love to win for my daughter, she’s 22 but loves this film.she loves the Disney films, still a wee girl (22) lol
