Blu-ray Disc versions of classic catalogue films are among the most impressive and cherished BDs available, with anniversary editions of titles such as Zulu, The Wizard of Oz, Blade Runner and Psycho all winning plaudits over the last two years.

So the latest news from Warner Home Video is sure to excite fans of classic film noir and musicals alike, as 2012 will see ‘Singin’ in the Rain’, ‘Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?’ and ‘Camelot’ coming to Blu-ray Disc on special Anniversary Editions.

To build demand, DVD editions of all three movies will be put on moratorium starting from December 31, 2010. And that’s not all. The studio has also confirmed 2011 will welcome ‘Ben-Hur’ and ‘Citizen Kane’ on Ultimate Collector’s BD Editions too.

So if you’re a fan of Gene Kelly’s unforgettable antics in Singin’ in the Rain, or more passionate about Charlton Heston’s chariot races in Ben-Hur, these fantastic movies are sure to capture the imaginations and hearts of old and young film lovers all over again over the next two years, but this time in high definition.
