CyberLink brings Blu-ray 3D to PCs with PowerDVD 10

CyberLink Corp has announced the release of PowerDVD 10 ULTRA 3D Mark II – new software that will enable Blu-ray 3D movie playback on desktop, notebook and All-in-One PCs.

The revolutionary product works by delivering two 1080p frames to create a flawless and smooth, high definition 3D video effect, and is the first software player to receive a Blu-ray 3D Certification from the Blu-ray Disc Association.

“CyberLink PowerDVD 10 Mark II adds a new dimension to Blu-ray,” said Alice H. Chang, CEO of CyberLink. “PowerDVD 10 Mark II presents movies in amazing realism and depth and delivers an incredible experience that the consumers are not just in front of the screen, but virtually in the movies.”

Cyberlink Power DVD 10 Mark II is now available online now and boxed versions will be available soon in retail stores worldwide.

At launch, PowerDVD 10 includes Full HD support for Blu-ray Discs and a range of ‘TrueTheatre’ technologies that upscale and enhance DVDs and video files to HD. Later in the summer, CyberLink will release ‘Mark II’ of the product (available for free to consumers who buy now) which will add Blu-ray 3D support and 2D-to-3D video file conversion support.
