Let Me In lands on Blu-ray

[tweetmeme source= “blurayreporter” only_single=false]

Are you looking for a little more bite from your vampire movies?

With the world going gaga for all things vampire, it was only a matter of time before John Lindqvist’s celebrated novel got an English adaptation. ‘Let Me In’ arrives on Blu-ray Disc on 14th March riding a wave of critical acclaim, and in a recent interview with director Matt Reeves discussed the upcoming BD release.

Reeves explained his decision to pack a generous array of bonus material on the BD including deleted scenes:

‘There’s a scene where you see how Abby was transformed. I remember when we were shooting her, Chloe’s mother literally had to leave the set because she was so disturbed by her performance, everyone was just in awe of her that night… all the elements were great, but it didn’t work in the final film… I’m so happy it’s on the Blu-ray.’

Reeves also touched upon the impact fans had in forming features for the BD which dissect key moments in the film:

‘During all the press for the movie, I got lots of questions from fans on how we did the car crash, so I wanted to do an in-depth feature on it for them.’

‘Let Me In’ follows 12-year-old Owen (Kodi Smit-McPhee) a social misfit from a broken home who strikes up a close friendship with mysterious neighbour Abby (Chloe Moretz). During the interview Reeves also explains how Steven Spielberg gave him fantastic advice for getting the best performances from his child leads, having directed so many over the years.
