Warner Home Video has announced plans to release a 40th Anniversary Edition of ‘A Clockwork Orange’ alongside a box set featuring nine of Kubrick’s best loved films on Blu-ray Disc in May.

Ropeofsilicon has a comprehensive list of features lined up for the BD of ‘A Clockwork Orange’. As well as featurettes and trailers, fans can also expect commentary from historian Nick Redman on the cultural impact of this seminal tale and a 25 minute documentary in which star Malcolm McDowell reflects on his experience working with the legendary director.

Full details of the nine disc BD set are yet to be confirmed but Filmdetail has confirmed that an exclusive 40 page book will accompany ‘The Shining’, ‘Lolita’, ‘Dr Strangelove’, ‘2001: A Space Odyssey’, ‘Full Metal Jacket’, ‘Eyes Wide Shut’, ‘A Clockwork Orange’, ‘Spartacus’ and ‘Barry Lyndon’.

Kubrick’s body of work speaks for itself and his reputation as a world class film maker has made him an inspiring figure in Hollywood, with the likes of David Fincher, David Lynch and Steven Spielberg all openly counting themselves as devoted fans.
