Blu-ray Monday Giveaway: The Switch

[tweetmeme source= “blurayreporter” only_single=false]

For this week’s Blu-ray Monday we are giving away a copy of hilarious romantic comedy ‘The Switch’.

The ticking of her biological clock prompts Kassie (Jennifer Aniston) to conclude she doesn’t need a man to have a baby, simply a sperm donation. At an ‘Insemination Party’ thrown by her friends, best pal Wally (Jason Bateman) accidentally tips her sample down the sink, forcing him to make a switch with his own. After seven years apart, the pair meet up with Kassie’s son, Sebastian (Thomas Robinson) leaving Wally with one daunting decision.

As usual with Blu-ray Monday, you have two chances to win. For your first entry, simply retweet the following post on Twitter: Tweet this

Then for a second entry, leave a comment on this post to the following question:

The Switch features up-and-coming child star Thomas Robinson, who steals many of the film’s best one-liners from his adult counterparts. Over the decades, performances from the likes of River Phoenix, Macualay Culkin, Dakota Fanning, and Drew Barrymore show that kids are more than capable of competing with the adult acting world. If you had to name your favourite child actor who would it be and why?

To make it easier for us to contact you, leave your Twitter details with your comment. We look forward to your suggestions!

My favourite child star is Jodie Foster. When I was younger I used to love her in Candleshoe, Freaky Friday and Bugsy Malone and then when I grew up I discovered her outstanding child performances in Taxi Driver and The Little Girl Who Lives Down the Lane. She’s still my favourite actress.

Cliche perhaps, but it’s gotta be Macaulay Carson Culkin. Grew up with him and his films, and I really shouldn’t make it known, but my fav MC film isn’t Home Alone but Getting Even With Dad. Oh geez, it’s now known on the internet!!

  79. 82 Marvin C. January 10, 2011 at 3:28 pm

My favorite child actor goes to Haley Joel Osment. He has made a lot of memorable films from AI, Pay it Forward, and Forest Gump. But there is no other child actor I can think of that starred in a captivating and remarkable movie as The Sixth Sense. He played a creepy kid that’s being haunted by many ghost and as an actor he kept the audience in the edge of his chairs with his innocent but tortured style acting delivery. Apart from acting he has even done voice acting for big name games like the Kingdom Hearts series. Truly one of the best child actors.
