Iron Man’s alter ego Tony Stark isn’t your typical hero – he’s an arrogant arms dealer who smokes, drinks and is something of a womanizer – but he always gets the job done in the end. Which movie mavericks or anti-heroes can you not help but admire?

  16. 16 SwissKahuna September 24, 2010 at 6:31 pm

    Don’t know if that counts… He’s loud, he’s a coward, he’s greedy and he’d sell his best buddy for a quick buck. But I love him dearly:

    Daffy Duck!

  17. 18 Susan Nisar September 24, 2010 at 6:14 pm

    Gollum….the poor little fella’s hard a rough time because of that naughty ring…making him do nasty things and all!!

  25. 26 BRABUS September 23, 2010 at 9:13 am

    Iron Man – the suit is so powerful yet the man behind it is so flawed; it’s an explosive mix and that’s why this movie is so great and I admire this character.
    @mihdin

  26. 27 Katie September 22, 2010 at 11:02 pm

    How about The Saints from The Boondock Saints? They’re perfect! I missed Iron Man 2, but Iron Man is on my top 20 of all time list… it was great! Thanks for the giveaway!

    Zenna Warrior Princess. Good ol Lucy Lawless. Love her in Sparticus. Alway wanted to see her naked. Finally we get to.

  35. 36 Simon September 21, 2010 at 11:46 am

    I second Dexter, almost the perfect anti hero

  36. 37 Alex Totir September 21, 2010 at 10:41 am

    Non-movie I pick Dexter. I absolutely love that show. 😉

    Movie – there are a few I like but I would go with Wolverine because he’s the coolest; he’s not the bad guy but not the perfect superhero either.

    @alexstef

  37. 39 Kirsten September 20, 2010 at 10:46 pm

    Jack Sparrow Gotta love him but he really is an a** 🙂 @miriama59

  38. 40 Janet September 20, 2010 at 9:03 pm

  39. 41 SwithMaster83 September 20, 2010 at 8:56 pm

    Skeletal from He-Man is my fav as he never gives up no matter what happens and he is funny at times.Bring on a new He-Man movie 🙂

  40. 43 NeboBeads September 20, 2010 at 8:54 pm

    Snake Plisken… I heard of you… I heard you was dead.

    Snake is the perfect anti-hero. Calm, collected, and not afraid to piss off the world.

  42. 45 Deborah Curran September 20, 2010 at 8:03 pm

    Hi – I tweeted as treetrout1 – just got a blue ray player and would love to get this. I haven’t see it yet but loved the first iron man movie.
    My fav anti hero would be Michael Douglas as Gordon Gekko
    in Wall Street the original from 1987

    Not sure Dirty Harry classifies as an anti – hero but who didn’t love him??

  43. 46 Debra P September 20, 2010 at 6:57 pm

    Anti-heroes? I love Leo Decaprio’s character in The Departed

  44. 47 Eva D September 20, 2010 at 6:49 pm

    of course……It’s gotta be BATMAN!!! 🙂

  45. 48 retardjerkface September 20, 2010 at 6:29 pm

    I can’t help but admire Dr. House. He’s basically a dick, but saves lives that no-one else can, not unlike a superhero. Not exactly a “movie” maverick, but I think he fits the bill perfectly.

  46. 49 jeannine m September 20, 2010 at 6:25 pm

    Wolverine from X-men, (not a movie but…) Dexter! He is a pyscho you can’t help to like

    @mellanhead

  47. 50 kelly handlovitch September 20, 2010 at 6:25 pm

    i Love the joker from batman. He is so mean but you gotta love em!

  48. 51 Mark Barley September 20, 2010 at 5:58 pm

    Darth Vader, after all he did end up a “hero” at the end of Return of the Jedi by killing the Emperor to save his son. You can’t help but root for someone like that!

  49. 52 Michelle Simons September 20, 2010 at 5:56 pm

    Tweeted, I’m MCJunkie. I can’t help but like that mean little penguin on Batman series.

  50. 53 Raul September 20, 2010 at 5:55 pm

    Originally I would have said Wolverine but since he’s been mentioned I’ll go with my second choice, Marv from Sin City. Both are bad asses who take poo from no one.

    @AngryCuban is my twitter handle

  51. 54 elsk September 20, 2010 at 5:54 pm

    @AryelAbrahami Loves IronMan 2!!!

    Wolverine Origins is one of the most awesome pictures, is also an example of a hero out of the ordinary he rules!! jaja

  54. 57 jade clancy September 20, 2010 at 5:48 pm

    Die Hard 4’s villain Thomas Gabriel, played by Timothy Olyphant. He’s so nasty, but so clever and so cool with it. And so hot. Kthanxbai!

    P.S. Iron Man 2 is the best movie, amazing choice of prize! RDJ rules!

  55. 59 Steve Johnson September 20, 2010 at 5:47 pm

    Riddick from Pitch Black & Chronicles of Riddick….he’s just too cool for school.

  56. 60 evic September 20, 2010 at 5:42 pm

    Gotta be Wolverine from the X-men!
