Blu-ray Monday Giveaway: Shutter Island

[tweetmeme source= “blurayreporter” only_single=false]

Shutter Island Blu-ray DiscFor this week’s Blu-ray Monday we’re giving away a copy of critically acclaimed Martin Scorsese’s Shutter Island.

Deemed as one of Leonardo DiCaprio’s finest performances, Shutter Island opened to rave reviews, taking the box office by storm. The film tells the story of U.S. marshal Teddy Daniels, assigned to investigate a missing patient from Shutter Island, a high security prison for the criminally insane. As you would expect, not everything is as it seems…

As ever with Blu-ray Monday, you have two chances to win. For your first entry, simply retweet the following post on Twitter: Tweet this

Then for a second entry, leave a comment on this post answering the following question:

Shutter Island marks the fourth successful collaboration between Martin Scorcese and Leonardo DiCaprio after Gangs of New York, The Aviator and The Departed. Like Scorcese, many directors often cast the same performer in several of their projects – but who would be your dream pairing of director and actor? Whether it’s Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks or Quentin Tarantino and Samuel L Jackson, let us know who you’d pick as your ideal movie-making team.

To make it easier for us to contact you, leave your Twitter details with your comment.  Look forward to your suggestions!

  52. 54 Raul - @Vengeful_ July 26, 2010 at 1:21 pm

My dream team would consist of either Martin Scorcese or George Lucas as director, Steven Spielberg as producer, Tom Hanks as leading role and Leonardo DiCaprio as supporting. With the industries best how can you go wrong?

Some alternates as leading roles could be Harrison Ford or Kevin Costner.

  53. 55 Di Childs July 26, 2010 at 1:19 pm

Quentin Tarantino directing my favourite actors, Drew Barrymore, Leonardo diCaprio, Christian Bale and Christina Ricci. Now there’s an interesting mix!

  54. 56 Raul - @Vengeful_ July 26, 2010 at 1:12 pm

My ideal team would be, Lucas as director, Spielberg (as producer), and as an actor either Harrison Ford or Tom Hanks. They ruled the 80’s and 90’s.

If we were talking people more current I’d pick Leonardo Dicaprio, paired with any director as he’s one of the most versatile actors of today

  55. 57 Vanessa July 26, 2010 at 1:04 pm

David Fincher and Jodie Foster – one of my favourite directors and my favourite actress. They’ve already done Panic Room together, I’d love to see them work together again.

Of those already working together, I think Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale are an excellent team.

  56. 58 Daniel Scales July 26, 2010 at 12:55 pm

J.J.Abrams & Wayne Knight, just because it’s the strangest combination I could think off. Could you say no to that face: http://www.imdb.com/media/rm606572032/nm0001431
